All businesses are aware that there is an ever-increasing burden of legislation that affects how your business is run. The hard part is knowing what you should be doing and when you should be doing it.
The UK Trades Confederation has arranged for all members to access this library service at no cost.
This service runs alongside the telephone advice line. It is Internet based and is accessed via the Members Only area of the UK Trades Confederation website, or from each member’s individual website.
There is a considerable library of documents you can download that will help you meet you legal requirements as a business and an employer.
Amongst the areas covered are:
- Employment law – with ever increasing payouts being made by employers to past employees, getting it right before you take action is essential.
- Health and safety – most businesses will need to have a health and safety policy. This service gives all the paperwork you need to ensure that you meet the legislation.
- Legal – you will find information on all fundamental legal aspects of managing your business such as dealing with leases, setting up limited companies, partnerships, and ensuring that you have the correct trading terms and conditions to protect your business.
- Tax and VAT – here you will find information on self-assessment, partnerships, Corporation Tax and VAT.
All areas of the site are updated when there are changes in legislation and members can e-mail an advisor with any queries you have or telephone the advice line
